On Saturday, October 5th, 2024, we held our second annual Pierce the Darkness Green & Gilded Gala. Our nearly 100 attendees plus donors have helped Pierce the Darkness meet and exceed our fundraising goal for this year. In total, and with the help of all of our generous sponsors, donors and attendees we were able to raise over $40,000 to fund our mission of accelerating optic neuropathy research conducted by Stanford Medicine.
Our second year was every bit as wonderful as the first with an educational program from our research partner, Dr. Heather E. Moss, who shared with us the progress made in the area of optic nerve repair research. We danced and grooved to the music of Nicholas David. The evening program rounded out with an inspirational and educational presentation from Peter and Liz Froehlich, our 2024 ambassador family.
